Art Classes for Teenagers
High school adolescents from the age of 13 are preparing for tertiary education and a job market that is rapidly changing and demanding of them to have well developed artistic and creative thinking skills.
From grade 8 the Art Curriculum is becoming increasingly more challenging in preparation for subject choices from grade 10 like Visual Arts, Engineering Graphics and Design, Mechanical Technology, Design, and Photography to name only a few, depending on the subject choices at the school attended.
Unfortunately very little class time is allocated to Visual Art during grades 8 and 9, which leads to a lack of basic art skills development in students not spectacularly talented, leaving students discouraged from pursuing the creative courses mentioned above from grade 10.
Right Edge Art strives to prepare grade 8 and 9 students for the creative challenges of the courses mentioned above by teaching them the basic art skills they will need from drawing to painting skills.
Right Edge Art also provides creative tutoring to grade 10 to 12 students struggling with art and design projects by teaching basic art skills and providing creative assistance and guidance.
